Product Marketing

Product Marketing may seem easy or optional to some, but it's a complex and critical part of the equation for overall success. Every product, service, event, destination or experience you can think of requires a carefully planned and executed product marketing strategy. While there are subtle considerations and differences between product marketing, service marketing, event marketing, destination marketing, and experience marketing, there are also many common elements to achieve success when you look closely enough.

Product Marketing

For decades, the first of the four P's in the marketing mix — Product, Price, Place, and Promotion — product often receives the most attention. It's the relationship between product and each of the other elements, however, that contributes to lasting success. Even the best product, if priced incorrectly, positioned within the wrong market segment, and poorly promoted, will have a much more difficult chance at achieving success. Many in the marketing and business community have been re-evaluating the marketing mix in light of the power of direct-to-consumer marketing in the age of the digital economy. Social platforms, powerful use of video, the role of influencers, and other considerations are all requirements.
